Updates as and when they happen!!

News 2008

November 2008 - News has been a bit thin on the ground lately, but on November 16 we travelled across to Lincolnshire to pick up our new puppy!

We've named him Jesse after Jesse James the outlaw and so far he's lived up to his name 8-)

He's lovely and looks ever so small next to our others but we know he won't be for long.

The first night home meant a howling session for him, so our girl Georgie took the situation in hand and she decided to be his adopted mum!

August 2008 - I'm happy to report that with continued, extensive hydrotherapy and physiotherapy Toby has made good recovery. He will always walk with a severe limp and his recovery isn't as good as was first expected but he can do almost everything he used to, including go for short walks on soft ground. It's been a busy few months looking after him as he had to have 6 weeks complete cage rest which then progressed into short breaks from the cage hen back to normal. We will continue to enjoy our time with him and hope he has many good years ahead.

We've not been able to attend as many shows this year as planned, but JJ and Georgie have helped Toby by not letting him out of their sight and also by alerting us to anything they think we should know. They have been very good an are still the mad hounds they were!

I've put some photos of Toby on this page that were taken while he was ill and the months since.

March 2008 - We are all devastated as Toby our Lurcher collapsed while on a walk. After MRI and many other tests it seems that a piece of disc has shot through his spine paralysing his back legs. He will be spending some time in Chester Gates Referral Hospital and then he will need complete rest for 4 -6 weeks until we know the full extent of his condition. We're hoping that he recovers to near normal but we know that for the moment it will be one day at at a time.

He will continue to recieve treatment as an out patient with physio and possibly hydrotherapy, so hopefully all this will help.

March 2008 - We attended Crufts 2008 and had a lovely time, Georgie gained a VHC in her first ever adult Post Grad class. It was a long day for her and i think by the time she went into the ring late afternoon she was wondering what she was there for, however she was treated with some lovely liver treats bought from one of the many tempting trade stands at Crufts!

Feb 2008 - Things have been slow on the news front for 2008. We did have several shows planned but Georgie came into season so we had to miss them.

Our next show outing is to Crufts, where my husband will be showing her. Whatever the outcome it's a fantastic feeling having qualified for Crufts!

News 2007

August 2007 - JJ has won AV Dog in an Online Dog Show in aid of A Siberian Husky Welfare. JJ prefers this sort of show, no grooming & no early starts 8-)

Toby was also 2nd in a Crossbreed class

Georgie has been out and about at shows as well and gained 1st and a couple of seconds at various Champ and Open shows.

May 2007 - A good end to May 2007 as Georgie gained BPIB at the Stafford & Birmingham Agricultural Open Show

We couldn't stay for the group judging as she developed a limp but our vet has assured us it's nothing, possibly the result of her lying around on a very damp, murky day at the show!

May 2007 - Georgie has qualified for Crufts 2008. She qualified on 20 May 2007 at the SKC with a 3rd place in GBGV Junior Bitch.

She also was placed Reserve at The Birmingham National,

her first Champ Show

April 2007 - A good day for us at the Houndshow and BGV Club Combined Open Shows.

JJ was placed reserve and went on to gain a further 2 first places. Georgie was placed BPIB in both and also gained another 3 first places!

January 2007 - Georgies first show was on 27 Jan 2007. The Llandudno Canine Society Open.

She got 1st in AV NSC Puppy, 1st in AV Minor Puppy Bitch & AV NSC Best Puppy!
